Here I have created a poster for the movie The Woods. I have used a picture of two of the main actors as they looked in our trailer as to instantly be recognisable be people who have seen the trailer helping to create some synergy through my media campaign. I have used the background of the a woodland area that the film was shot it to create some continuity throughout the whole campaign and to also link in with the obvious title of The Woods. The editing the has been done to this image was very simple, the two actors where cut out of the original picture to keep them in the correct ratio and proportions while the background was stretched behind them ever so slightly, the whole picture was then darkened by reducing the brightness. Lastly I applied a colour swap, changing all blue colours to red giving it an eerie looking red glow throughout the whole picture. The text has been edited using a slight bit of bevel on the main title as well as a small gradient to create a fading effect, the rest of the text is left as original, apart from the LGF logo which has had a red colour overlay applied to make it fit in with the colour scheme of the rest of the poster. Throughout the billing block I decided to make all of the names and important information capitalised, this allows the reader to easily pick out important information without detracting from the main focal points that are the image and the title.
